I have a 77' Dawson 26 in Minnesota I am contemplating selling this August due to family needs and some work stuff.

It is located in Duluth, MN.  Here are the highlights:
- Tandem trailer
- Sloop rigged, wheel steering, 4 sails dacron
- Yanmar YSB8
- New wet exhaust, exhaust wrap, fuel pump, fuel filter, oil change and service.
- Complete cockpit recore under pedestal stand, engine cover, custom IPE panel (see recore photos)
- Engine cover recore, IPE panel latch (see photos)
- New though hull for YSB8 water pump line, new bronze 1/4 turn ball valve.
- Fore cabin through hull replaced with Garbord drain plug
- New battery
- All cockpit hardware rebed last fall.  Overdrilled epoxy/milled fiber holes, re-drilled and backed with stainless fender washers to support load.
- New rear hatch
- New hatch boards

Interior is nice, no stove, no aft cabin sink.  Replaced each with custom richlite countertops.

You guys should know of the boat as there are photos on this site.
I can gladly send more offline.

Here are photos on a different site:

I bought this boat from someone else on this site.  He posted a 7K list price before the rework.
As it sits today, I would take $6999 and I feel this is a good way to carry the vibe forward on the boat and support the site long term.

If you have questions please let me know.
August 15th is the tentative date.
If you are interested, let's get organized.

Rob and others,

Thanks for the push.  I launched Friday.  Smiley
The rig still needs to be hooked up.

Saying that, I motored across the St. Louis bay 1 mile in a 25 knot headwind in 35 degree air temps.  This was my first launching after a week of effort replacing every through hull, pump, wiring etc.  I regret sending the note that started this thread -- we are still on board man -- not for sale!  The note was sent at a low point of boat ownership.  Launching makes it worth it.

I am relieved it floats Smiley -- and also impressed with the condition and seaworthiness of the boat.  I have raced on J24, San Juan 24, custom boats, Tartan 10, C&C 24 etc.  This boat is so much more fun to pilot and deal with in general. Can not wait to get it sailing.  We were able to make ground to weather with the keel up in shoal draft mode under power by the Yanmar YSB8.

All told, the pat three years has been a busy one full of dust and effort.  I may have some questions on rigging soon as in the next few weeks I plan to step.  Thanks for being here.

Cheers,

Josh Richard
