I have hull number 265, in anchorage alaska.  The plate says Las Vegas.

I've just acquired Hull 270.  The Brass plate on the sliding hatch identifies it as a Dawson 26  Built in Las Vegas.  It is presently near Deception Pass in Washington state.  We plan to sail to Chatterbox Falls in June, then to Desolation Sound in September.

Helo Fairwind,
I know I am 2 years late in responding but wanted to let you know that I finaly located my Hull # it is MDS500660573... I think that makes it one of the earlier PD's built?

I am a little late on this post also, But I figure its a good place to collect as much info as we can about the ParkerDawson, Midship 25 or Dawson 26.  I purchased mine from the original owner.  He kept very good records and documentation.  I even have articles from "Small Boat Journal" about the Parker/Dawson, an article from Crusing World Mag and Bob Lengal's "Story of the Windship 'Progigal'".  I'll scan what I can and post it.

UPDATE:  Nauset Marine admits to making two boats from parts they got from Parker.  Boats carry Nauset ID numbers, not related to PD.

MOLDS still exist on west coast, with no plans to produce.

Hi,  Most of these posts are not this year but thought I would put in my two cents worth.  I just bought a Dawson 26 as best I can tell.  She will live in Owl's Head, Maine.  Her number is DYC262770178.  The plate says Las Vegas.  I assume that this is hull #277 from Jan of 1978.  I bought this from a fellow that had both the ketch (which I bought) and a sloop which he wanted to keep.  Both were in good condition as far as I can tell.  I should have her in the water in the next few weeks so that will tell the tale.

Hulll 245 is owned by Steve Vallance in Stockton, CA.
Hull 247 was just found being used by a small charter outfit in Portland, Ore.

Hi Steve,

Any idea what the name of the charter outfit is?  Would love to sail in Portland and not have to haul the boat.
