Was noticing some pics of Dawsons, and wondered if anyone had had both boats out in various conditions,  The sloop seems simpler and more efficient.  I think in heavy weather the ketch might do better.

Anyone know from first hand experience?

I'll see if John Alland might have a comment.  He used to give demo sails on Lake Mead and at Boat Shows.  John ??

Have a dawson sloop and just aquired a ketch.  I will keep you posted both under renovation right now.  Looking on how to rig the Ketch as it came in parts.
