I built this cover in the fall and finally found a camera cable to upload the pictures.

The tarp is actually a billboard I bought from a farmer here in Iowa, it was 18'x45' and was an advertisement for a Van Gough exhibit.  The extra that I cut off was an 8'x10' portrait of Van Gough.  Not sure what to do with it.

The frame is made from 2x4 and high pressure PVC pipe-more durable and stiff.  I used 2 2x4s for the backbone and braced it in 3 places.  I then joined the PVC pipe with dowelling to make the pieces long enough to go from the deck over the backbone to the other side.  I used 1/2" x 2" pine that I used zip ties to attach to the stantions and mounted the PVC using copper brackes sold by the bag at Menards.  I also used these brackets to attach the PVC to the backbone of the frame.  I used zip ties to attach the PVC to the lifelines and to the stantions.  The frame itself is incretibly sturdy and strong.  The cover is simply put over the top.  The tarp/billboard had pockets sewn in along all sides, I put a long piece of PVC through the pocket and used poly line to tie it to the trailer.

I can't seem to upload the pictures.  I keep getting an error when I try to insert a file.  I will try again later.

Hope everyone enjoys the Holidays in all their flavors.

Bob
