For those of you with hanked on sails.  A friend gave me the jib off his E Scow. It is perfect in winds over 15-20 knots when the working jib becomes a bit overpowered.  It is a blade jib and allows to boat to point much higher going to windward in bigger wind. Had it up in 25+ knots with 3 reefs in the main and the boat balanced perfectly.  I tied a couple of blocks to the stations next to the mast and run the sheets through there.

Bob,

What are the dimensions of the sail.  That story gives us a nice target for a small headsail for windy days. (Every summer day in San Francisco)
