I use these inexpensive LED Closet lights on my boat. When cruising for a month last summer we only had to replace the batteries once. We simply velcro them wherever needed and move them all over the place. They are only $7.95 at Wal-Mart and come with batteries.
No wiring at all and no more dead batteries after the kids leave the lights on!!!!
