Just built these weather cloths for the boat, in the hopes of extending the sailing season a bit.  They work quite well and thus far have not required any new holes etc in the boat.  Will make the final version out of Sunbrella, and will use them as is to work out the final design.

They work well to block out the wind, and much of the spray when beating into larger seas.

Does anyone know how to upload pics successfully?

Here's my set-up, an awning track pop rivited to the lower lip of the hatch and sunbrella fitted with a bolt rope, also lift-a-dot fastners to keep in place. the same for the aft cabin, I also have a clear cover for the main cabin that keeps it bright and still dry and warm. track and fastners are available from Sailrite or your local canvas shop.
The covers serve a dual purpouse they keep the UV off my varnisher weather boards.

To up load pix click on additional options click on browse and go to the program where you store/sort your photos pick the photo and double click, and post that should do it

I have tried that, and I keep getting an Internal Server Error.  Have tried from Mac, Windows and 3 browsers.  What Browser/machine are you using?
