Purchased boat last fall, and removed almost everything except engine. Have replaced engine seacock and installed new sea strainer, blower and replaced all fuel/vent lines. Next project is new electrical system for engine. I will run this year with original engine (Vire 7) and evaluate it, but I am considering replacing with outboard and stern bracket. My mooring depth is less than a foot (soft mud) at low water and I'm concerned about the pressure on the propeller shaft and strut. My previous boat was a Stiletto 27 cat with a 9" draft! I'm not sure how many owners, but she is in fair shape needing updating and lots of elbow grease. Hull #MDS501001173 with both sloop and ketch rigs (2 main booms and mainsails). Really enjoy the site and have learned much about the boats here. Hope to launch by middle of August, sailing home waters of Cape Cod and Islands. [:I]
