I have been on this site for years but never posted pics of my boat.  I bought the boat on ebay about 5 years ago from the admin of this site.  He delivered the boat to me from Fresno, CA to Spokane, WA.  Hull 103 has wheel steering and the inboard Vire 7hp 2-stroke.  I think at one time it was a ketch rig as I have the shortened Main boom and shorter main sail.  However there is no stepping plate for the mizzen mast.  Anyways, the boat stays at a slip for the summer on Lake Pend O'reille in Northern Idaho.  Here are some pics:

I see you have a wheel pilot, does it work well? I'd like to add one on #273

I havent used it much.  It was functional when I bought it and I tried it out a few times but I didnt really know how to use it at the time.  Vis might be able to answer this question since I am sure he installed it.  I believe he was headed for Hawaii in this boat at one time before he sold it to me.  I remember that it would keep me on course on my lake sailing in moderate to light winds, what I dont know is what would happen if it hit a strong gust, whether it would be sufficient to keep on heading.  My boat has a pretty sizable weather helm and I have to hold it pretty hard to keep from luffing up on a big gust.  I do prefer this to the alternative though....

Nice boat...  I had tried to get together with Vis when he was in Fresno, but could not make contact.  Turned out that he was sailing the boat from San Francisco to Los Angles at the time.

Interesting comment on weather helm.  I'd have thought that the smaller main would have reduced that issue.

How do you like the feel of the wheel steering?  On most boats, it is a bit heavy, thus making the wheelpilot work harder.

If your not in VERY HIGH winds and BIG waves the autopilot works well. It corrects alot though but worked well. Think if I remember right the waves are what mess with it the most.
