Hi there,

Two images of what proved to be an excellent season.

At the dock in 30" water! This spot is awesome.  Behind the boat is a channel into a 5 mile protected bay.  Good sailing.

on a reach with a 150 and full main on Lake Superior (15 mile trip):

Love the boat.  I mostly sailed it with 1 or 2 others and my kids all sumer.
Nice short hander's boat.  Good vibe all around.

Moving forward, does anyone have a Yanmar YSB8 in their PD anymore?  I really love the engine, it runs great. Over the spring, I installed a new wet exhaust, through hulls, and fuel pump.  No issues whatsoever.  It does motor slow (3-4Knts maybe).  In talking with others who know more, everyone seems to suspect the prop could use an upgrade to get closer to hull speed.  Has anyone updated their prop?  If so, where do you look?

I just pulled the boat for the season as my rental dock is being yanked this weekend. Sad
When I did this, I took notes on the prop and shaft.  I have a 11x8LH on a 3/4" shaft. I am not sure what the reduction is on the transmission.  If anyone is near a floating boat with a YSB8, could you provide that information?

Thank you all very much,

Josh Richard

I should add two things:

- I have no idea where to start here. Smiley
- The prop is a 2 blader.

The boat looks really good Josh, it seems as though all your work has paid off.  Congrats.

Thanks Rob,

The rework would not have been possible without the site support.  Nice knowing you guys are out there.
