I acquired Hull # 212.  Upon inspection, I discovered no less than 50 blisters in the hull, including one on the boot top stripe, above the waterline.  Most of them were rather deep, but the depth was pretty uniform.  I ground them out, to the edges of the blisters.  The hull outside the blisters appeared to be dry, and had not delaminated.  I also noticed that two blisters on the very bottom of the hull had fiberglass that had actually dissolved.  The previous owner of the boat, Peter Rees, told me via email this morning that he thought the hull had become waterlogged.  However, outside the blisters, the hull appeared to be dry and sound.  Any thoughts or suggestions about how best to handle this type of problem?  have other Parker Dawson's had similar problems?

Dave

I am the owner of Hull #67 which is a 73 PD and have no problems with my hull, I have given it a complete inspection and it is perfect.  Is it possible your boat was in a climate where water froze and split the hull?  If so, i'll bet there are going to be structural problems, better have it professionally inspected before you sail in any extreme conditions.  I wish you the best, fair winds,,,,Richard
