I need to order a new mainsheet and I believe that the old was was cut up and used for securing the boat.  I know that the mainsheet is also used to help lower the mast, which probably imposes a different length requirement.  Does anyone know the length and diameter of their mainsheet?

While I'm at it, how long are your headsail sheets?

Greetings All
And its great to see the site back, I was in withdrawal
I just replaced the sheets on hull #237 With 3/8 double braided polyester. (5/16 would have worked)
The main sheet is 70' and the jib sheet total length is 60' I bought a 250' roll from Defender Industries, the remainder was used for the halyard tails.
the excess main sheet, when sailing is stowed in a sheet bag on the stbd side bulkhead just below the sheet cam cleat

Thanks, Herb

What is your sheet bag made of and how is it attached to the bulkhead? (on the cockpit side of the bulkhead, I assume)

The bags are made of Sunbrella material with a mesh bottom and uses Lift the Dot fasteners, available at your local canvas shop or from www.sailrite,com
I also have bags for the jib sheets mounted on the cockpit combing
The main sheet bag is 11x11x4 1/2 and the jib sheet bag is 9x9x2 1/2

I don't have access to my mainsheet right now.  I went a bit too heavy however, which makes it hard to let the main out in light air.

I also am thankful to have the site back up.  Did a little ice sailing this weekend in preparation for spring.
