I am the new paramour of hull #212. I see she has been handed around a bit... and seems to have trouble hanging on to her masts! I got her without masts once again at the end of March 2010. I found a mast in Oakland with the same extrusion and 29'8'' in height. my question is this- some pictures I have seen have a pole up against the table. Is this a support for the mast? Will the deck support the mast without it? I found a galvanized pole in the trunk that must be for this purpose but it will look like crap. I will go with brass or stainless or hardwood if I need to have it in there. Thanks for the forum.

Denny,  If you are talking about Oakland, California, I have my boat on the trailer in Alameda and expect to be up there on Friday or Saturday of this week.  Feel free to call my home at 408 723-0619 to arrange a visit.  A few minutes on another boat can be a great help.  This is hull 270.

Yes the mast does need the support from below !!

Call me after 9:30, on Froday or Saturday, as I'll be out early both mornings.

Denny, my boat is still in Alameda.  Do you wich to check it out.  I have most of the interior exposed, so you could get a really good understanding of several potential issues.
