I was wondering if any one had any pics of the inside standing rigging plates.
And also of the hole where the steering comes out.
Also some pictures of the forward companion way hatch. Like what holds it open how its mounted etc.
As soon as you go in the forward cabin on the right I think everyone has a sit on the right but whats under it? cooler? toliet?
Wheres everyone have there electronics mounted? GPS, Ham?, VHF, Depth, Wind etc...
Has any one put a reverse osmosis system in?
Where is water tank located ?
Where is gas tank located ?
any one ever have water comming in from where the cable to let the keel down?
Anyone know anything about the plastic caseing that the keel is in?
Any one have problems with rudder if so what kinda problems?
Any one have pictures of where the lifelines connect in the front ? Do they just go to the deck? or to poles?
What kind of laders do you use ?

Standing rigging plates pics - I get shoot as soon as the snow melts & I uncover and open the boat. Sme with where the steering comes out and the forward hatch.
Seat in Cabin on starboard is a storage locker. Also houses my transducer for depth sounder and thru-hull for speed.
VHF, Loran & Depth sound are mounted inside on starboard ceiling. Plan to install a Pedestal mount and locate gps, radar and remote mic on it.
Negative on reverse osmosis.
Water tank in to starboard at the bottom of the locker. It goes between forward and aft cabins. 25 gals.
Gas tank (actually diesel) is in the bottom of port lazarette. 18 gals.
Negative on the water from the keel cable.
No issues with the rudder.
Lifelines connect at the bottom and the top of the bow pulpit rail.
Ladder is on the port stern. Double folding. Drops about 2 feet into the water and folds up and ties to the stern rail. Somewhere I have the brand name and pics and will try to locate.

Thanks for the quick response.
My 2 tanks are located in the same place but they are both only 12gal tanks. Any one have any opionions on good size tanks for long rang crusing? Or should does it not really matter. I will be putting in a watermaker to.
Do you have any coolers? or just lockers?

The locker on the starboard side, immediately after going down the front hatch, is where the marine head is located. My fresh water tank (40 gal) and grey water tank (28gal?) are located in the locker underneath the navigators berth. Diesel tank is in the bottom inboard side of the lazerette. The aft cabin step downward is just a board sitting on to horizontal rails attached to both port and starboard bunks and covers the port a potti.

I wish my head was located there. Mine is under the V berth. This provides less privacy and creates a headache trying to design an adequate holding and pumpout system. Since I sail in no dump zone I have used the porta potti only. I planned to pull the forward head and reclaim the storage space. I will save it and avoid further mods to that area so I can reinstall if things change or I sell the boat. Dan Underwood 1977 Dawson 26, Hull #264 "DOVE" Buzzards Bay, MA

LLoweke: Just wondering how the head is soon as you walk in the forward cabin? Dont you have the keel and winch right there ? The only other configuration I have seen with the head is to the right, right after walking in.

My winch and keel are mounted in the same place your manual winch is located. The head offset directly to starboard. (under the navigators berth.
